Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the goals. app and the trygoals.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by Goals LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

goals. is an iOS and macOS app that helps you manage a daily todo list, define overarching goals, capture tasks and reflections by voice, collaborate in shared goal chats, work with AI agents, and receive an AI-generated weekly briefing based on your completed todos, voice reflections, and optionally your calendar, health, and spending data. The Service includes all related features inside the app and on the trygoals.app website.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must review these terms with you.
• You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure — if your Apple ID is compromised, your goals. account can be compromised.
• You agree to provide accurate information at sign-up and to keep it current.
• One person, one account. Please don't create multiple accounts to evade our decisions or abuse the free trial.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and cascades through every user-scoped table — we cannot recover it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or harmful to others.
• Try to break, reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the security or access controls of the Service.
• Upload content you don't have the right to use, including financial statements that aren't yours and voice recordings of people who didn't consent to being recorded.
• Upload content that contains malware, exploits, or anything designed to interfere with our infrastructure or other users' accounts.
• Resell, sublicense, or share access to your account.
• Use the Service — including the Claude-generated outputs produced by it — to train competing AI models or build a competing product.
• Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to interact with the Service in ways not authorized by our API (we don't currently offer a public API, so this effectively means: only use the iOS app and the website).
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network connected to the Service without our express written permission. If you find a security issue, email hello@trygoals.app and we will work with you to fix it.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you create or upload — your goals, todos, voice recordings, transcripts, statement uploads, and any other content you put into the Service (collectively, "Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and operating its features (including sending specific pieces of it to Anthropic for AI analysis as described in our Privacy Policy).

This license ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, build aggregate datasets, or share it with anyone except as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated content

The Service uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate weekly briefings, suggested actions, voice reflection analyses, statement transaction extractions, and voice intent parsing outputs (together, "AI Outputs"). AI Outputs are produced by a probabilistic language model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.

Treat AI Outputs as suggestions, not instructions. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to act on them. Decisions about your health, finances, relationships, career, mental health, and anything else that matters to your life are yours — not ours, and not Claude's.

The Service is not a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, therapeutic, or emergency advice. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health crisis, contact a qualified professional or emergency services immediately.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Apple (Sign in with Apple, HealthKit, EventKit, Push Notifications), Anthropic (Claude API), and Supabase (database + storage). Your use of those integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party services. If a third-party service changes its terms or becomes unavailable, goals. features that depend on it may change or break.

7. Subscriptions and pricing

Every new account includes a 30-day free trial with full access to every feature. No credit card or payment method is required to start the trial.

After the trial, continued write access requires an active subscription. The current prices are $7.99 USD per month or $59.99 USD per year, billed through Apple under Apple's standard EULA. Auto-renewal and refunds are governed by Apple's rules — in general, subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and refunds are handled by Apple, not us.

If your trial ends and you don't subscribe, or if a paid subscription lapses, your account moves to a read-only state: your existing goals, todos, voice entries, and history remain visible and exportable, but you won't be able to create new content until you subscribe. Your data is not deleted as a result of trial or subscription expiry — you can return at any time and pick up where you left off.

We may change the price of a subscription at any time, but the new price will only take effect at your next renewal and you'll be notified before it does. Existing subscribers at the time of a price change will, where possible, be grandfathered at their original rate for a reasonable transition period.

8. New software

goals. is newly launched software. Despite extensive testing, early builds may contain bugs, edge cases, or unexpected behavior. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data across updates, and all content is continuously synced to our servers (see the Privacy Policy), but you agree not to rely on the app as your only record of anything irreplaceable. Back up important information separately.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI Outputs will be accurate or appropriate for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Goals LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Goals LLC from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or Your Content.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your account for a material violation of these terms, we will try to give you notice and an opportunity to cure unless doing so would be unreasonable (e.g., the violation is ongoing harm to other users). After termination, the Privacy Policy controls how long we retain your data.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app or by email before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, your only remedy is to stop using the Service.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Miscellaneous

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
